Jordan's Iftaa body has called for banning all religious fatwas that incite Muslim bloodshed and undermine social security.

In a statement Saturday, the Iftaa body called for Muslim unity.

It said it is following with great concern threats facing the Muslim nation amid calls for murder and revenge among young Muslims.

Muslim scholars and intellectuals should put the nation's interests first in order to prevent Muslim bloodshed, the statement added.
