Jordanian King Abdullah II on Sunday warned of the ongoing Israeli provocative practices in Al Quds (East Jerusalem).
The Israeli attempts to Judaize holy places in AL Quds will have serious repercussions on the region, its security and stability, and also would lead to religious conflict, he added.
He made the remarks during his meeting with a number of Arab lawmakers in the Israeli Knesset as they discussed efforts to stop the Israeli assaults and violations of Al Aqsa mosque.
During the gathering, King Abdullah asserted that Jordan will continue facing all Israeli practices and violations based on its religious and historical duty towards Islamic and Christian holy places there, according to a statement released by the Jordanian Royal Court.
The Israeli endeavors to divide AL Aqsa Mosque temporally and spatially are totally not acceptable, he underlined.
The Jordanian monarch briefed the Israeli parliament members on the Jordanian efforts and contacts with all regional and international parties to put an end to the Israeli assaults on AL Aqsa Mosque, the statement said.
He denounced all claims and allegations used by the Israeli government to justify its actions on AL Quds, pointing to the key role that could be played by Arab leaders to mobilize support of the exerted efforts to protect Al Quds and its holy places.
For their part, the Israeli delegation members praised the role of King Abdullah II in protecting the holy places in Al Quds, expressing their full readiness to play more active role in backing the Middle East peace process and ceasing the Israeli assaults on AL Quds.
