Jordanian King Abdullah II

Jordanian King Abdullah II underlined on Saturday his country's full support to Egypt and its pivotal role in the region so as to serve the issues of the Arab nation and enhance the march of joint Arab work.
He expressed his appreciation with the level of relations between the two countries in various fields.
These remarks came during the meeting held between the monarch and the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry who conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the king.
The two sides discussed the efforts exerted to combat terrorism and the extremist ideas as well as its impact on the stability of the region the matter which entails increasing cooperation between the Arab countries.
The meeting took up the Middle East peace process held between the Palestinians and Israelis which depends on establishing two independent states, according to a statement issued by the Jordanian Royal Court.
They also tackled finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis and the efforts of the Iraqi government in fighting the terrorist organizations.
For his part, Shoukry stressed that Egypt is keen on promoting bilateral cooperation and discussing issues of common concern with Jordan to grant the interests of the two peoples.
The meeting was attended by a number of high-level Jordanian officials.
