10th Manama Dialogue

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, today at Sahkir Palace, in the presence of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, received heads of delegations participating in the 10th Manama Dialogue, which is organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which began its work in Manama yesterday evening.
HM the King welcomed the delegations' heads and exchanged amicable conversations.
HM the King also exchanged views with the delegations on topics listed on the 10th Manama Dialogue agenda.
HM the King, addressing the audience, highlighted his belief in open dialogue as the most effective way to promote and maintain security and stability in the region.
HM the King thanked all participants in the Manama Dialogue, in particular Dr. John Chipman for his great efforts exerted during the last period, looking forward to having many successful year to come at the level of bolstering dialogue and discussion among all parties in the regional interest.
HM the King added that since 2004 threats seem to be getting more complicated in the region with the development of technology, while existing issues still prevailing over the Gulf region and the Middle East, which make us to further comprehend roles, interests and motivations of both regional and international countries. Therefore addressing these issues has become an urgent matter that requires greater efforts.
HM the King highly appreciated the participation of such large number of security experts of various countries of the world.
HM the King wished the participants success to reach a mutual understanding on regional security issues and to address them.
