Consul General of Kuwait in Karachi Mohammad Abdullah Al-Khaledi congratulated Kuwaiti leadership and people on the happy occasion of national days.
"On the occasion of 54th National Day and 24th Liberation Anniversary of the State of Kuwait, I am honored to felicitate His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait on this glorious occasion," the Consul said in a press statement Tuesday.
He lauded the historical relations and strong bonds linking Kuwaiti and Pakistani people.
"The Kuwaiti people have historical ties with Karachi dating for more than a century ago when Karachi was an important port for Arab and Kuwaiti merchants," he said.
The Kuwaiti diplomat highlighted the efforts exerted by the consulate to develop cooperation between the two friendly countries.
"Since I take over my assignment as Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Karachi, I am working hardly to develop the historical and economic relations by inviting Kuwaiti businessmen to invest in Karachi, Sindh and Balochistan," he added.
He underlined the importance of Karachi for Kuwaiti investors which is demonstrated by Kuwaiti investments like Pak-Kuwait investments, Arabian Sea Enterprises (the owner of Karachi Movenpick Hotel) and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
"I would like to point out that my Pakistani brothers have a leading role and long history of experience in all vital sectors. I'm deeply determined to serve Pakistani brothers and attract large number Kuwaiti investments to Sindh, Karachi and Balochistan to boost ties between Kuwait and Pakistan in economic and trade sectors," he concluded.
