Kuwait beefed up search procedures at the border crossings as a precaution after a recent terror attack in Kuwait, Kuwaiti Al Qabas newspaper said on Sunday.

Security forces at all crossings, ports and airports are on alert and are intensifying search measures in order to prevent the smuggling of any dangerous or prohibited substances, a security source said.

This comes within the security authorities' efforts to protect the country from any attacks that may be launched by terrorist or extremist groups.
