Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Thursday stressed the importance of services provided to Kuwaiti nationals by security service centres across the country, which aim to ease and facilitate the processing of necessary documentation.
Sheikh Mohammad, also currently the Acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, made the remark in a statement after attending the opening of a new centre in Ardhiya, noting to its mission in issuing official documentation relevant to more than one state body.
On the opening of a new police department in Kaifan, the minister had also attended, he said it was built according to the highest of standards in order to provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date levels in telecommunications, surveillance and security patrolling.
He went on to pledge the ministry's commitment to continuously updating its security standards, hailing the efforts of ministry staff for their quick response to development projects which fall under the country's development plan.
The minister witnessed a briefing by the head of the ministry's security services administration Maj Gen Anwar Al-Barjas on plans to open more of these centres across the country, while improving their functionality through further hi-tech equipment and further training of their staff.
Some of these centres will be open to the public during public holidays, he added
