The Waqf of Kuwait's Mosques, in coordination with Kuwait Zakat House, is supporting 250 Syrian families that have fled violence at home.Khaled Al-Subaihi, the head of the Waqf delegation to Lebanon, said in a statement to KUNA "this project is part of a full-scale campaign to relieve the Syrian refugees in Lebanon." The Syrians have received mattresses, powder milk, heaters and bread. The materials are given to 2,000 families, sufficient for three months.Abdel Ghafour Alam-Eddine, in charge of the Lebanese charity, "Abwab Al-Khair," praised Kuwait for aiding the refugees.The relief supplies provided by Kuwait have helped in alleviating hardships of the refugees, including women, children and elderly.The Kuwaiti Waqf had established up to 14 schools that accommodated 6,300 Syrian students. Total number of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon reached one million.
