Minister of Communications Essa Al-Kandari has issued a decree forming a temporary committee to make preparations for hosting the 18th GCC municipal meeting due here between September 16-18.
Under the decree, Kuwait Municipality, which will host the GCC meeting, will have to set up a committee composed of its staff with the main task of working out arrangements for the meeting, the municipality said in a statement on Saturday.
The panel will also receive suggestions from participating countries on topics and subjects to be put on the agenda of the gathering, and undertake coordinative tasks for participating delegations, it added.
Once completed, the group will do its best in order to ensure the success of the 18th GCC municipal event in Kuwait, according to the statement.
