Kuwaiti Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mohammad Khaled Al-Khoder held talks on Tuesday with US Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East Affairs Andrew Exum.

The talks are aimed at intensifying security cooperation between the two allies, Kuna news agency reported.

The meeting took up holding more joint military exercises, which would, in turn, bolster joint defense capabilities, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said in a press statement.

This meeting is part of continued efforts of boosting cooperation between Kuwait and the US, Al-Khoder noted.
