Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met with UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmad, in the presence of GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani.

    A statement by the Kuwaiti foreign ministry, carried by the official KUNA news agency, said the GCC reaffirms efforts of Ould Cheikh Ahmad "to bringing success to Yemen peace talks hosted by the State of Kuwait to restore security and stability to Yemen, as well as stopping bloodshed of the Yemeni people."
