The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry on Friday said several worshipers were killed and others injured in a blast that hit Al Imam Al Sadeq Mosque in al Sawaber neighborhood in Kuwait city during Friday prayers.

In a press statement, the Ministry added that its bodies are closely following up developments to identify reasons behind the attack and the number of casualties.

The Ministry urged citizens not to gather near the scene.
