Kuwaiti mission

Kuwait's diplomatic missions abroad have held further receptions celebrating the National Days and congratulating the top leaders on the anniversaries.
Ambassador to Serbia Yousef Ahmad Abdulsamad held, late on Friday a ceremony that was attended by officials, lawmakers and diplomats.
In a statement, during the gathering, he expressed congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the people of Kuwait, hoping Kuwait may witness further progress and prosperity.
Ambassador Abdulsamad, whose remarks were broadcast by the official Serb media, hoped the existing economic cooperation between the two countries would be backed up with coordination at the political level. He also noted significance of the forecast meeting of the Serb-Kuwaiti commission, due in Kuwait during course of the year.
Elsewhere in Europe, the mission to Albania held a similar activity, during which Ambassador Najib Al-Bader stated that this year's national celebrations were distinguished with the United Nations honoring of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center." These gestures by the international organization were made to express gratitude for Kuwait's abundant contributions to relief efforts to help nations in need worldwide.
In Indonesia, the Kuwaiti diplomats followed suit, hosting dignitaries on the occasion. Ambassador Nasser Al-Enezi, reached by telephone, congratulated the top leaders on the anniversaries.
The Kuwaiti missions worldwide have held formal receptions celebrating Kuwait's 54th National Day, which fell on February 25th, and its 24th Liberation Day, on February 26th.
Kuwait National Day marks Kuwait's independence from Britain and the other occasion is observed in remembrance of the liberation from the Iraqi occupation that began with a wide-scale aggression by troops of the ousted Baathist regime in August 1990.
Many leaders, officials and decision makers, hosted by the missions, expressed cordial sentiments toward Kuwait and re-affirmed their countries' solid support for the Gulf state.
