Algerian foreign ministry

A programme called “Marhaba” (Welcome), devoted to the newly appointed diplomats in Algeria, has been launched by Foreign Affairs Ministry, said Wednesday in Algiers Director General of the Diplomatic and International Relations Institute (IDRI) Mohamed Abdelaziz Bouguetaia.
“Marhaba is an initiative whose credo is to facilitate the integration of the new foreign diplomats by suggesting to them various activities, focused on the discovery of the Algerian heritage, its history and culture as well as its economic and social aspects,” said Bouguetaia on the occasion of the celebration of the Algerian Diplomacy Day.
This initiative is meant to be a space of meetings and exchanges whose main objective is to create a climate of understanding and harmony so that they can work in an atmosphere of trust, serenity and conviviality.
“Foreign Affairs Ministry hopes to ensure the continuity of this initiative, to establish a dynamic of friendship and interactivity between Algeria and foreign diplomats and we are convinced that this initiative will have a big echo and over time it will become one of the distinguishing characteristics of the diplomatic life in Algeria,” he added.
“Marhaba” will organize from 9 to 25 October several activities which will allow foreign diplomats to discover the various geographical, economic, cultural and social aspects of Algeria.
