The approval of 398 lawmakers will have to be granted before striking off a member from parliament, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Magdy el Agaty said.

Under the Egyptian constitution, at least two-third of the parliament members (398 lawmakers) has to approve on striking off a member, he said according to a press release issued by the ministry.
