Council of Representatives and Shura Council members hailed the Kingdom of Bahrain's multifarious democratic accomplishments, enhanced political and human rights, economic development, and the atmospheres of freedom of expression of opinion, since the National Action Charter has been launched in 2001.
They told Bahrain News Agency that the landslide endorsement of the NAC by 98.4% of the people which reflects national unanimousness and rallying behind the Kingdom's leadership. People voted yes in favour of the National Action Charter and expressed the extent of their cultural, democratic awareness and maturity which made the National Action Charter's endorsement as the shining lodestar in the Kingdom's history.
MPS and Shura Councilors said that now fourteen years after the plebiscite on the National Action Charter, the nationwide vote constituted the turning point and development at all levels with the launching of the ambitious reforms project of His Majesty the King which constituted the most important chapter in the country's modern history and its progress and prosperity in all spheres.
Shura Council member Dr. Abdulaziz Abdul submitted utmost signs of congratulations and felicitations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the 14th anniversary of the National Action Charter which paved the way for unprecedented political, economic, social developments, etc.
MP Mohammed Al Ahmed said that the NAC has consolidated the pillars of the ongoing reform project of His Majesty the King, year after year.
Shura Council member Adel Al-Mawa'da said the NAC has constituted the solid ground in all developments witnessed in the Kingdom of Bahrain and attested by fair observers hither and thither.
MP Adel Al Assoumi said the NAC anniversary is a dear memory cherished in the hearts of all Bahrainis, stressing that the Charter has contributed in positive grassroots transformations currently seen in the Kingdom.
He added that the Charter is considered one of the fruitions of His Majesty the King's reform project which consolidated the concepts of democracy, transparency, freedom of expression and led to the creation of the bicameral National Assembly.
Shura Council member Dalal Al Zayed said that the National Action Charter led to the 2002 Constitution, stressing that the principles of the Charter constitute the legislature's point of reference for all matters of legislations, laws presented to the Shura Council in compliance with this historic document.
Shura Council member Dr. Mansour Sarhan said that the Charter constitutes the major cornerstone for development at all levels seen in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and is considered the culmination of His Majesty the King's reform project, which yielded many fruitful outcomes and positive features topped by the National Action Charter.
Shura Council member Haala Ramzi submitted utmost signs of congratulations and blessings to the wise leadership and to citizens in the Kingdom of Bahrain on the 14th anniversary of the National Action Charter endorsed by 98.4% yes vote, wishing the Kingdom all progress and prosperity in all walks of life.
