The Lebanese army have arrested 10 people northeast of the country suspected of belonging to terrorist groups, official news agency reported Sunday.

It added the 10 suspects were arrested in Al­Labwa town while they were attempting to sneak into Lebanon.

The Lebanese army is taking strict measures in the northeast of the country to prevent militants from infiltrating into the country.

Extremist militants are active at the border areas with Syria and have fought fierce clashes with the Lebanese army
