Lebanon's Army Intelligence on Monday arrested a person who has links with Salafist cleric Ahmed al Assir.
A statement by the Lebanese Army said that the arrestee was planning to attack army headquarters.
Lebanese authorities arrested Assir at the airport on August 15.
He was holding a forged passport, which said that he is a Palestinian.
Assir was wanted for his role in deadly clashes with the Lebanese army.
