Lebanese Army Commander General Jean Kahwaji met Wednesday with Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohamed Badr el Deen.

During the meeting, the Egyptian ambassador affirmed keenness on fostering ties between the defense institutions of the two countries.

The meeting tackled internal and regional conditions in the region, according to a press release issued by the Egyptian Embassy here on Wednesday.

The two sides underlined the importance of supporting the Lebanese State institutions, especially in light of the current complicated conditions.
