The Lebanese army shelled on Saturday gunmen's sites in the outskirts of Wadi Rafek town in Arsal area, northern Lebanon.
The shelling came after observing strange movements in the area, sources said.
Nusra Front and Daesh militants have been holed up in Arsal’s rugged outskirts for about two years.
In August 2014, they briefly overran the town and kidnapped several soldiers and policemen. The brief takeover led to a five-day battle with the Lebanese Army before they were forced out.
Daesh is still holding nine soldiers.
