Information Minister Ramzi Joreige left here on Tuesday, heading for Cairo to attend a meeting of the Council of Arab information ministers.
Joreiges said he will visit the headquarters of MENA on Wednesday to attend a symposium on the role of media in combating terrorism.
At their meeting, the Arab ministers will discuss 17 items related to Arab media issues, methods to develop the media and strategic visions.
Among the 17 items expected to be tackled in the Arab information ministers' meeting are the issue of following up the new Arab media plan abroad, Arab media strategy, the Palestinian issue and the role of Arab media in addressing the phenomenon of terrorism, and other important media items.
