Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohamed Badr el Din Zayed met with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.

The Egyptian ambassador said that he handed over an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Berri to attend the opening of the New Suez Canal on August 6, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Saturday.

He also said that his meeting with Berri tackled local and regional conditions.
