The Arab Unification Party in Lebanon has welcomed court rulings against former Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi.

Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood group deserve those sentences because they attempted to destroy Egypt, the party said in a statement Wednesday.

They are still acting to do so through terrorism, the party charged.

According to the party, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's stance in this regard is ridiculous. The man has suppressed the judiciary, police and army in his country and is now criticizing the renowned Egyptian judicial authority, the party said.
