Lebanese PM Tammam Saeb Salam

Prime Minister Tammam Saeb Salam issued a decree Friday to cancel celebrations for the Lebanese Independence day due to the current political and security situation in the country.
A statement by the Prime Minister's office said that official celebrations in the country and abroad will be canceled due to the current situation.
Salam yesterday delivered the independence speech, calling for hastening the process for electing the President of the country. The Lebanese parliament failed to elect the President despite holding 15 sessions aimed at achieving this goal.
