Lebanese Premier Tamam Salam and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri will lead a high-ranking delegation to Egypt on Thursday to attend the New Suez Canal inauguration.

A well-placed Lebanese governmental source told MENA that the premier's accompanying delegation will include Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Samir Moqbel.

Lebanon is keen on attending the historic ceremony in view deeply-rooted relations between the two countries, the source said.
