Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed el Tayyeb on Sunday said Lebanon is able to overcome all obstacles by focusing on the principles of co-existence among all components of the Lebanese people.
During a meeting here with Lebanon's Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros, the grand imam added that the reality of the Arab world has proved that current crises can only be confronted by coexistence and unity to save the region.
For his part, Boutros lauded roles played by Al Azhar in the face of conflicts in the Arab world.
He added Muslims and Christians have lived together in peace on this land for more than fourteen centuries.
