Secretary General of the Lebanese Higher Relief Council Mohammad Khair commended Tuesday Kuwait's support to alleviate suffering of hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Khair was speaking to reporters after a meeting with a delegation of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), on a visit to Lebanon to determine Syrian refugees' needs. He said his meeting with the KFAED's delegation aimed at reaching an agreement on infrastructure projects to be carried out in towns and villages hosting Syrian refugees. Khair thanked Kuwait and its leadership for their continuous support for Lebanon. The KFAED delegation's visit is in compliance with pledges Kuwait made during the first and second donors conferences for the Syrian people, both held in Kuwait. Kuwait pledged to provide USD 500 million for the Syrian refugees, 50 million of which was offered by the fund as a grant for countries affected by the influx of Syrian refugees
