Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea has announced the nomination of Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun for the presidency on Monday.

In a press conference at his residence with Aoun, Geagea said that the move is meant to save the country and get it out of the current situation.

He also called on his allies in the March 14 alliance, led by politician Saad al Hariri, to support Aoun's candidacy.

He called on various political factions and groups to cooperate and prioritize the best interests of Lebanon.
