A Cairo court adjourned till June 3 a defamation case filed by former justice minister Adel Abdel Hamid against Chairman of the Central Auditing Organization (CAO) Hisham Genena and two journalists of Al Wafd newspaper.

The session was delayed to notify the defendants to make their first appearance before the court.

The case dates back to 2013 when the minister accused the newspaper of publishing an inaccurate report quoting Genena as saying that Abdel Hamid was getting money unlawfully during his term in office.
