The Libya Dawn militia group held a Libyan army commander captive east of the Libyan capital on Sunday, a National Salvation Government official said.

Abdullah Sasi and seven of his companions were captured by the militants in Tagouraa area in eastern Tripoli, Khaled Tabib said.

Sasi was among the Operation Dignity commanders that took part in the latest security operation against forces of the Libya Dawn militia group in Tagouraa area.
