Abdel Rahman Shalgam, Libya's envoy to the United Nations, is expected to head the national unity government, a local news website said on Tuesday.

Shalgam is the only candidate who has been supported by Libyan rivals meeting in Morocco for UN-brokered talks, Libya Al Mostakbal site said.

The website did not offer further details.

UN envoy Bernardino Leon is trying to push for a unity government to end the growing unrest in Libya.
