Gunmen released former Libyan diplomat who disappeared suddenly on November 12 from Qasr Kiyar area, 80 km east of Tripoli.

Essam Qattos, the former Libyan consul general to Niger, returned to his family with his cousin who was accompanying him when he disappeared, a source close to Qattos' family said.

Qattos is in good health, the source added.
