Tripoli - MENA
Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed al Dayri left for Cairo Monday to attend an extra-ordinary Arab League (AL) meeting on the latest developments in the Libyan city of Sirte.
The meeting will focus on ways to help the legitimate Libyan government counter challenges and restore control over all the Libyan soil, the media office of the Libyan Foreign Ministry said.
Dayri had telephoned Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry Saturday to discuss the difficult situation in Sirte and sufferings of residents, who are target of mass killings committed by the terrorist Daesh group.
AL Secretary General Nabil el Araby had, meanwhile, called for unifying Arab and international efforts to support the interim Libyan government in the face of Daesh massacres in Sirte.
