Attack on oil terminals

The Libyan interim government strongly denounced on Thursday the attack by Islamist militias on the oil ports of Ras Lanuf and Al-Sidra in the northern 'Oil Crescent' region.
"The deadly attack risk undermining the national unity and dragging the country into civil strife," the government said in a press release received by KUNA.
The government, led by Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani, urged the international community to step in to prevent "the terrorist groups" control over the oil ports which could enhance their financial capabilities.
The statement urged the UN Security Council to work for ensuring the implementation of its resolution No. 2174 providing for tracking down the entities or individuals who pose threat to Libya's security and stability.
