The Libyan government is willing to ease the return of the 13 Egyptian Coptic Christians, who have been reportedly kidnapped in the Libyan city of Sirte and released a few days later, said spokesman of the interim government Mohammed Bazaza.
Meanwhile, head of the council of elders in Sirte Muftah Marzuq told "Al-Wasat" news website that the 13 Egyptians were in fact not kidnapped but had been kept by smugglers after they disagreed on fees regarding their transport to Harawa village in Sirte.
He asserted that the kidnapped Egyptians are in good shape and have not been assaulted.
