Speaker of Libya's internationally-recognized House of Representatives Saleh Aqila asserted on Wednesday that the parliament was committed to the UN-sponsored peace talks held between Libyan rivals to reach a political solution.

In a message to the UN special envoy to Libya, Bernardino Leon, Aqila said the parliament renews support to his efforts to render talks a success.

The dialogue was launched out from a solid basis to achieve a package of goals, Aqila said, adding, both sides have agreed on forming the unity government and ending armed clashes.
