An explosive disposal expert of the Libyan army, Tarek al Sai'ty, has said that the special forces thwarted a suicide attack in Benghazi.

In press statements on Friday, al Sai'ty underlined that a terrorist was driving a booby-trapped vehicle intended to attack army troops who were stationed near a pasta factory in the wee hours of the day.

He further said that he dismantled the car, which also contained missiles.
