Libyan warplanes have attacked a boat carrying militants and arms off the Libyan port of Derna, said a well-placed military source in Tobruk base.

The boat headed for Derna and was intercepted in the sea, the source said Friday.

After several warnings, the warplanes bombed the boat, he added.
