Cairo - MENA
Scores of Libyans staged a rally outside the Arab League's headquarters in Cairo on Tuesday, demanding the lift of an arms embargo on the North African state.
The rally came as the pan-Arab body was holding an emergency meeting to discuss the latest developments in Libya after Daesh took over the Mediterranean port city of Sirte.
The protesters raised banners that called for lifting the embargo which was imposed in 2011.
They called on the Arab League to save Libyans and support the Libyan army in fighting Daesh.
