Tripoli - MENA
Libya's Prime Minister Abdullah Al Thinni on Tuesday said that he survived an assassination attempt after attending a parliamentary session in Tobruk.
In statements to Al Arabiya Al Hadath News Channel, Thinni said that the failed assassination attempt aimed to stop the democratic political process in Libya.
Such attacks will not deter the Libyan people and their leadership to complete the democratic process, he added.
The Libyan prime minister added that the assassination bid had nothing to do with terrorist groups fighting against the army.
"The members of my government and I are ready to lose our lives for the success of the democratic transition in Libya," he stressed.
