Sheikh Mohamed Saleh, an Awqaf secretary in Luxor, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack that targeted the Karnak Temple in the Upper Egyptian city.

That heinous and cowardly attack has nothing to do with Islam, Saleh said.

It is part of a conspiracy to weaken Egypt's economy, he noted.

Saleh praised efforts exerted by policemen in countering regrettable incidents.

The Awqaf Ministry has stressed the importance of unity in the face of terrorism, Saleh said.
