Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Monday lauded the deeply-rooted historical relations between Egypt and Kuwait, stressing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Mahlab made the remarks during his meeting with members of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti business council.
During the meeting, Mahlab greeted the leadership and people of Kuwait for supporting the Egyptian economy, which was evident in the participation of the Kuwaiti emir and a number of Kuwaiti companies in Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) which was held on March 13-15.
He congratulated the members on the establishment of the council, welcoming Arab and Kuwaiti investments in Egypt.
Mahlab asked the members to cooperate in all economic fields in Egypt.
"Egypt has a new economic climate and there are real opportunities for the Arab and foreign investors," he said.
He stressed transparency in the field of business in Egypt, saying that his office and ministers' as well are open for investors' complaints.
He noted a number of ongoing giant projects, including the New Suez Canal.
