Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met on Wednesday with a group of Matariya residents, who expressed their rejection of the recent terrorist acts in the neighborhood.
They asked the premier to establish three check points in the city to arrest outlaws coming from the neighboring neighborhoods.
They also thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and policemen for their efforts to provide security nationwide.
Mahlab, meanwhile, promised that he will visit Matariya neighborhood soon.
At least 12 protesters were killed in Matariya on Sunday during protests that coincided with the fourth anniversary of the 25 January Revolution.
The neighborhood has become a flashpoint of anti-government protests since the beginning of the revolution in 2011. (MENA)
