Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab opened on Saturday a conference on national plan to encounter drug abuse in Egypt.

The plan was developed by the Drug Control and Addiction Treatment Fund of the Social Solidarity Ministry.

During the event, an initiative was launched to address smoking and drug abuse in TV drama and movies.

The opening was attended by a number of ministers including interior affairs, sports, health, education, housing, Awqaf, and higher education.
