Matrouh Security Chief El-Annani Hamouda held an expanded meeting with a raft of police leaders in the coastal city to discuss ways to discuss ways to secure the city ahead of planned protests on Friday.
The meeting tackled drawing up a plan to secure squares and facilities ahead of the planned demonstrations.
The "Salafi Front" called for protests nationwide on Friday under the rubric "The Muslim Youth Uprising."
