Mauritania condemned Monday the attack carried out against the Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran.

The African country stressed that respecting the sovereignty of other nations and not interfering in their internal affairs are basic rules of international laws and conventions.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Mauritanian government said that it slams such offensive.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia severed the diplomatic relations with Iran on the backdrop of the attack that targeted its embassy in Tehran and consulate in Mashhad.
