Egypt's National Progressive Unionist (Tagammu) Party on Saturday said members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood assaulted the party's secretary in Luxor governorate Sayed Al Badry.

The MB members assaulted Babry using steel weapons and chains after he informed a security official of the seriousness of the terrorist group's movements in Luxor, the party said in a statement.

The party added that the MB members have assaulted a Tagammu candidate in Sadat city of Menoufia two months ago.
