The underground Metro Line 1 was partly suspended due to a technical failure.

In statements on Thursday, media spokesman for the Metro Company Ahmed Abdel Hadi said the Metro traffic was suspended between Sadat and Saad Zaghlol stations.

The metro is working as usual between Marg and Sadat stations as well as Helwan and Saad Zaghlol stations, he further said.

He added that emergency teams headed to the site to repair the failure, asserting that the metro movement will be back to normal within 30 minutes.
