Alexandria security forces have arrested a terrorist cell that belongs to the blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood group that are involved in plotting for sabotage acts and attacking police and public facilities.
The 7-man cell was arrested during a security crackdown in Alexandria on late Sunday.
The detainees admitted that they are belonging to the MB group and have carried out 41 criminal attacks, including two in Al Amiriya district, planting two bombs at a power tower in Borg el Arab and the 2nd and 3rd industrial zones of Alexandria as well as an ATM machine at the desert road.
They also confessed that they have taken part with other 14 defendants in carrying out 37 explosions in various areas of Alexandria.
