Sohag police have arrested a terrorist cell grouping 21 elements of the subcommittees of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) while planning to carry out a terrorist attack in the Upper Egyptian city.

They were hiding in a mountainous cave with weapons in their possession.

The extremists, who used to target policemen and public facilities, had committed 13 terrorist attacks in Sohag.

The public prosecution remanded them in custody for 15 days pending a probe.
